For instance, by weaving the lightest continuous filament fibers into densely woven fabrics with controlled permeability STERN EWS fabrics can simulate epidermis for third-degree burn patients, in a fabric as light as ¼ oz/yd2. STERN EWS is capable of weaving fibers as low as 8 deniers.
