ChemStat™ fabrics are noted for their patented raised grid of carbon static-dissipative yarn; the grid reduces the amount of carbon yarn required in the fabric, and thus reduces the amount of potential contamination from the fabric itself. The extensive process ensures a quality suitable for a wide range of applications, including cleanroom filters, fencing vests, printing blankets, and automotive paint shop coveralls. In addition to longevity and reliability, comfort and security are ensured for the wearer. ChemStat soles are produced through injection molding for a flexible, secure custom fit.
ChemStat™ vs ChemArc™
ChemStat™ fabrics can be woven from any filament fiber, but in all cases incorporate within the woven structure a fine carbon grid to dissipate static electricity.
ChemArc™ fabrics used in or near cleanrooms must be produced from Nomex filament fibers. In almost all cases, they contain a fine carbon grid that is not required but is there for worker comfort; it is there to reduce static electricity generated by the workers’ garments.
